Tour of the temples of Dinder and Abydos
After picking you up from the hotel where you are staying, your Egypt holiday tour guide will drive you in a private air-conditioned vehicle towards Abydos, a city north of Luxor, and spend an unforgettable day there to see two of the complete temples in Egypt.
Temple of Abydos
In Abydos, we will enter her famous temple erected by Seti I in honor of Osiris. In this temple are represented not only essential scenes from the life of Seti I and Ramses II but also the famous royal lists of the names of the 77 kings of Egypt from Mena to Seti I himself.
Abydos was the religious center of the most significant pilgrimage in Egypt. Here the & mysteries of Osiris were represented, and the celebration of the afterlife where the death and resurrection of the deity were reproduced.
Dendera Temple
The temple of Dendera was dedicated to the goddess Hathor and its construction, which began during the reign of Nectanebo I, continued until Roman times. The temple contains twelve ornate crypts, two colonnaded rooms, and two funerary chapels. The "towers" in the Louvre come from one of these chapels.
After the last stop at the temple where Isis was born, we will leave Dendera to return to Luxor.
