El Alamein is a resort town on the Mediterranean coast of Egypt and is a popular place increasing. He isn’t very well known in Russia yet, but that will change: if everything goes as planned, there is a good chance he will become an excellent alternative to Sharm el-Sheikh and Hurghada.

People come here because the weather is warm, there are beautiful beaches, and the water is clear blue. El Alamein is an excellent place for people who like peace. Almost all of the hotels in the area are brand new, and they all have excellent service.

Families with young kids will like that there aren’t any loud parties or crowds of people to deal with here. Divers will go to the new location because the Mediterranean Sea hides many beautiful and exciting things in these areas.

El Alamein, Alexandria Governorate:

It won’t take you more than a few hours to get to this city and see the beautiful white dunes and sparkling sea. This city is considered one of the most beautiful in the world. It is 104 kilometers west of Alexandria and 184 kilometers east of Mersa Matruh.

At El Alamein, the soldiers of the anti-Hitler coalition, led by Montgomery, fought against the soldiers of the Nazi bloc, led by Rommel, in a significant battle. Montgomery came out on top after the war. The fact that the Allies won this battle directly affected how World War II turned out.

When you go to the Alamein War Museum, you can see collections of weapons, tanks, and ammunition from World War II. You can also look at military maps, which will help you learn more about the war’s details.

Location:

The original battle sites, memorials, and cemeteries for soldiers from many countries who died in the Second World War can be found about an hour from Alexandria City and three hours from Cairo’s business district.

In El Alamein:

You are welcome to join the events held at the graves of people who died in World War II every year in October. You can find their graves to the south of the highway and see the German military cemetery built in 1959 by going three kilometers west of El Alamein.

On this high peak, which is right on the water, the bodies of 4,480 warriors have been buried. The German War Memorial is a building that looks like a fort built on top of a mass grave. An obelisk stands in the middle of the memorial.

The Italian military cemetery:

This beautiful cemetery, five kilometers west of El Alamein, is often considered the city’s most beautiful place to be buried. The Italian War Memorial is a tower whose inside walls have the names of the soldiers who died carved into them. The monument includes a church, a mosque, a memorial hall, a small museum, and tombs.

In honor of the soldiers whose bodies were eaten by the desert during the war, there is a memorial plaque right in front of the gate. The Wadi Halafavi cemetery was built where the pivotal battle of El Alamein took place. In the graveyard, several other memorials have something to do with the Second World War.

Beaches

El Alamein’s hotels offer high-quality service, extensive grounds, enough guest rooms, and open floor plans. Everyone has their stretch of beachfront property with powdery white sand and all the amenities needed for a full-fledged “seal” vacation. Swimming is a fun activity that you don’t have to worry about and is easy to get into.

And you’ll always be able to enjoy the azure color of the Mediterranean Sea. Near the shore of El Alamein, some ships that sank during the Second World War are now at the bottom of the water, and divers can go check them out.
